The story of an ordinary girl turning from a robber to a politician

A ten-year-old girl who fought for her father's land. Or a girl-bride, who was first raped by her old husband, then by the party of Sriram Thakur. Or the dangerous bandit who killed 22 people in Behmai village standing in line. Or as a ‘clever’ woman who wanted to join the robbers from the beginning. Shekhar Kapoor, the woman whose life was made into a film by rape, was not even asked. Or perhaps as a politician who has won elections twice. Or a woman who came to meet him, used to feed 'Fan' Sher Singh Rana on the day of Nagpanchami, not knowing that this man would kill her after a while.

Phoolan's attitude was the same even at the age of ten

Phoolan was born on 10 August 1963 in Purva of Juraun's Ghura in UP. Born into a poor and 'small caste', Phoolan did not have ancestral pressures. He had heard from his mother that uncle had grabbed his land. She confronted her uncle at the age of ten. To land. Picketed. The cousin killed the brick on the head.

Phoolan was also punished for this anger by his family members. She was married. At the age of 10. 30-40 years older than myself. The man raped Phoolan. Some years passed in some way. Gradually Phoolan's health deteriorated so much that he had to go home. But a few days later his brother sent him back to his in-laws. After going there, it was found out that her husband has married second. The husband and his wife insulted Phoolan a lot. Phoolan had to leave the house and come.

Two bandits fell in love with Phoolan, one died

Now Phoolan started getting up and sitting with some new people. These people were associated with the gang of bandits. Slowly Phoolan started walking with them. Phoolan never cleared that she went with him on her own or whether she picked him up. Phoolan said in his autobiography: Probably this was the fate approved. After Phoolan's arrival in the gang, there was a mess. Sardar Babu Gujjar was enamored with Phoolan. Vikram Mallah murdered him and became a Sardar. Now Phoolan started living with Vikram. One day Phoolan went to her husband's village with her gang. There he looted both her and his wife.

Gang rape for 3 weeks and then killing 22 completed revenge

Now this gang clashed with a gang of Thakurs. This was the gang of Shriram Thakur and Lala Thakur. Who was angry with Babu Gujjar's murder and considered Phoolan to be responsible for it. There was a fight between the two groups. Vikram Mallah was killed. This story goes that the gang of Thakurs kidnapped Phoolan and raped her in Behmai for 3 weeks. This is shown in the film 'Bandit Queen'. But in the book written above Mala Sen's Phoolan, Phoolan has never said this openly. Phoolan always said that Thakurs joked with me a lot. It also has a view that rape is a word that no woman ever wants to accept.

After leaving here, Phoolan joined the gang of bandits. Phoolan Behmai returned to the village in 1981. He identified two people who raped him. When asked about the rest, nobody told anything. Phoolan fired 22 Thakurs from the village and shot them.

New name found: Bandit queen, entered politics after getting out of jail

It was this massacre that made Phoolan's image a dreaded dacoit. There was a ruckus all around. Those who say that Thakurs were dead, that's why the political system fell behind Phoolan. Meaning, caste was seen earlier in dealing with criminals. The police followed Phoolan. A reward was placed on his head. Media renamed Phoolan: Bandit Queen. At that time there was also another queen in the country: Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. There was a king in UP: Chief Minister VP Singh. He had to design after the Behmai incident.

Bhind SP Rajendra Chaturvedi meanwhile kept talking to Phoolan's gang. There are fewer stories about this. But it was the miracle of SP's tact that Phoolan agreed to surrender after two years. In front of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Arjun Singh. He was charged with 22 murders, 30 robberies and 18 kidnappings. Had to stay in jail for 11 years. Mulayam Singh's government decided in 1993 to withdraw all the charges against him. It was a big decision politically. Everyone kept watching after tearing the book. Phoolan escaped from jail in 1994. He was married to Umaid Singh.

Life changed, but death came

Phoolan Devi contested from the Samajwadi Party in 1996 and won. Became MP from Mirzapur. Walking in Chambal, she started living in a luxurious bungalow on Ashoka Road in Delhi.

She lost in 1998, but again won in 1999. On 25 July 2001, Sher Singh came to meet Rana Phoolan. Wished that he would be associated with Phoolan's organization 'Eklavya Sena'. Ditch the pudding. And then shot Phoolan at the gate of the house. Said that I have avenged the Behmai massacre. On 14 August 2014, a Delhi court sentenced Sher Singh Rana to life imprisonment.

In his total life of 38 years, Phoolan's story covers every evil of Indian society. It may seem that this was the result of a rape. But Arundhati Roy says that if rape would have made Phoolan Devi, then thousands of Phoolan goddesses would have been roaming the country. This is the creation of the whole 'masculine culture'. This story covers caste, land, woman, men
